Hello Everyone, I am new here and bad at introductions but I'll try my best. I joined this group for two reasons: 1) I so believe in the meaning of spirit that I can't help believing it's not "all over" once we die. I do very much look forward to discussing the topic of paranormal experiences with everyone here. 2) I just lost my pet cat of 17 years 2 weeks ago. I had him since he was 3 months old and we were incredibly bonded. Although I have a pretty decent social life outside my home, my cat was my very best friend through his sweetness, loyalty and unconditional love. I would like to know from anyone here if they've ever had an afterlife visitation from a pet they loved and were incredibly bonded to. So far I've had dreams about my cat, but I don't know if they are self-induced or really a sign from him. It would do my heart good to know that my cat is happy and well on the other side. I'd really appreciate any of your own personal stories or suggestions on this topic. Thank You |

Welcome aboard, Gigi. We are glad to have you here. I have never had any beyond-the-grave visits of any kind, but I do know what it's like to miss a pet you loved. When I was 15, my dog Tipsy died a tragic death. It broke my heart. I cried for two weeks. It is normal to go through a grieving process whenever you go through a significant change in your life or lose something you love. The five stages of grief are: 1) Denial 2) Anger 3) Bargaining 4) Depression 5) Acceptance Without commenting on the legitimacy of after-life visits from pets, I think it is safe to say that both the denial and bargaining stages may encourage a person to actively seek something which does not exist anymore. Best wishes to you, Gigi. I feel for you. |

Gigi, I HAVE had a visitation from my beloved dog back in April 24 2001, just only 5 days after his death. I was in the deepest state of despair up until he came to me in a dream. I begged and prayed to god to help me to get over the pain of losing him.He (my dog) appeared to me and told me 3 times(in telepathy) that he missed me. It was so vivid, I could see even the hairs of his fur. He even had the expression of being extremely sad, like a human would. I instantly woke up and from that point on , those feelings of despair never returned. I've recently lost my husband and am feeling those same feelings of lostness and despair. It's an ache that's indescribeable. A very horrible feeling!
