I guess it is sort of rude to walk away without saying what I got out of what you said. Yah, I was feeling bad about possibly giving off the Creeps (it is reassuring to know that people don't seem to think that way about me), but then, if I feel that way about my self then I most be imposing judgment upon other people for doing the same thing and thinking of them as 'bad'. I'd like to normalize the mental process in a way where I don't feel compelled to judge my self or others upon conscious recognition of 'the creeps'.

I'll think about it though and try to integrate what you said in a way that makes sense to my self. I'm freakishly introverted.

Conscious awareness of when others are doing it, so that you can be more present to freedom, choice, and opportunity, rather than feeling crazy, and conscious awareness, too, of when we're doing it ourselves, so that we can see how we're keeping ourselves from being as powerful and effective as we'd like to be in having relationships that work really well.

Clearly, talking about menstrual blood leads to valuable insights and connection.

I always thought so. It's the time I always felt most deeply in rapport with my unconscious mind, intuitive, powerful, and sexy.

This makes so much sense.
How do you typically handle a situation like this, Angela? Is there any way to get a non-lose (I don't know if we can call that a win) result other than withdrawing and refusing to engage?

Yes! You know, I'm really inspired to write an ebook about this whole subject.

The most important step, I feel, is to honor those unconscious "The Creeps" indications, and to recognize what they are. They're not always 100% accurate, of course, but it's really important not to dismiss them in yourself or others.

I'm a little bit stoned right on painkillers, but I'll write more later.

This part is worth quoting and repeating! Very valuable indeed, and the definition of win/win if you ask me

I'm glad to have this place to work out some of my learnings outside the bones of my head.... it's such a deeply unconscious, many-tendrilled kind of an issue, I find myself being presented with lots of fodder for insight here, and it's also interesting that I'm having these pools of time while my body is healing, and all kinds of insight and learnings and fun stuff is percolating -- blub, blub, blub! It's kind of like getting massaged on the inside.

FYI: James has shared that story before. He has had the same "growth experience" with it before. And nothing changed.

My experience with James is that for a while, when he was truly embracing Personal Responsibility, he was a wonderful communicator. People were listening to him, he was an inspiration, he was helping people grow.

Then, he felt that he wasn't always heard the way he wanted to be heard, and decided to do away with Personal Responsibility (with communication) and focus on getting heard. Unfortunately, while doing that he didn't change HIS communication style so that people could actually hear him the way he wanted to be heard, he just started to become passive aggressive.

I am sad that the James of about a year ago isn't here anymore. I am very glad that the James of the last year is finally gone.

I'm glad the me of the last year is gone as well. That bastard was always hogging the blanket and clogging the shower.

On a serious note, I wonder if the ghost of James still wanders these forums? Searching for that one insight that will help him to cross over onto the other side?
