Thank you all! Yossarian, with a lot of help from many wonderful people, the funds for my surgery have all come together and I'm scheduled to get reupholstered on December 2nd. How have you been, my friend? It has been a long time.

Thank you so much! Yeah, they're installing mesh in me from top to bottomous, so I'm feeling a bit like an upholstery project. Maybe I should think of it more like a trapeze net -- I'm just going to the circus!

Hi Angela,
Dont know what you mean by "TOP to bottom"

When my 7-year Strangulated Necrotic Inguinal Hernia was repaired,
3 weeks ago, the surgeon sutured in a 3 by 6 inch (polypropylene Fishing line) mesh.

After 3 days on their opiod narcotic painkillers, I went OFF everything cold-turkey, &
once again take NO "meds" of any kind, as I have for the past 60 yrs.

When I went for a check-Up, only a week post-hospital,
I asked the surgeon: "could that thing Limit my Flex-ability? as an Iceskater"
and
he said: Good God, it's only been a week; cut yourself some slack!

Well, I'm determined to have a Biehlmann-Spiral like Sasha Cohen, I said.

And the surgeon said: "100's of athletes have that mesh, but it doesn't stop them. Go FOR it!, & I wish you the best!!!"
