New Member Introduction
My name is Terrence Allen...stumbled accross this site and decided to join after revewing some of the material...not all of it fits for me but some of the positions people take on the spiritually-flavoured topics stirs an interest. Felt it appropriate to offer background information...admittedly lengthy but those who choose to read it are the right ones. Presently, I am pursuing the field of professional speaking in the area of motivation/inspiration delivering content in workshop, keynote address or one-on-one coaching formats. This represents my heart’s furthest professional passion and I am taking appropriate steps to ensure the full manifestation of this desire. I regard myself as the recipient of a level of insight not yet available to most and am committed to using this gift to service my own Life by way of living a Life of service to others. In the fullness of time I envision availing myself of opportunities globally to offer the information I have to share…always prefacing the opportunity with the question, “How may I serve?” My most recent full time employment involved professional speaking services delivered on behalf of Vocational Pathways Inc. (vpi) which provided employment services to the provincial government. The vast majority of my professional career from 1975 through 1992 was spent with Honeywell Limited where I fulfilled the mandate of Senior Account Executive with Sales and Marketing Management responsibilities at the Trade, Wholesale Distribution and Original Equipment Manufacturer levels of the distribution hierarchy. Subsequent to this assignment I assumed other Sales, Marketing and Management roles for three other companies in the HVAC/R industry. From 1991 through 1996 I was instrumental in an entrepreneurial venture as co-founder and co-developer of the world’s first consumer-oriented, microprocessor-based personal use UV monitor designed to allow the wearer to safely manage their time spent in the sun to mitigate the harmful effects of overexposure to the sun’s burning rays. Close to three hundred thousand units were eventually marketed globally. From 1999 through 2005 I was self-employed as a contract Motivational Speaker and Personal Life Skills Trainer developing and delivering custom-tailored presentations to corporate clients designed to offer insights that audience members could take with them into their daily personal and professional interactions. In 2005 I returned full time to college to complete the Career and Work Counsellor Program at Toronto’s George Brown College where I was awarded recognition on the Dean’s Honor List in each of the four semesters completed throughout the program. I have written extensively on matters related to personal motivation and the evolution of human consciousness and I harbor a passionate interest in helping others to overcome the obstacles to the expression of their innate and infinite potential.
