Default Kentucky hello, ya'll

Personal development for "smart" people is so very appropriate.
I think every post and part of this blog is the most smart, and insightful
I have ever read. I have spent hours and hours just reading today.

I am fifty, female, and recently have become self employed. I am a trade show marketing specialist, and help businesses design and choose displays
and exhibits to highlight their product or service. i spent ten years working for another company, and have taken the leap of faith into self employment.
So far so good, but i seem to have a problem with time mangement.
Lately, i find myself on the laptop till way up into the morning, and then
end up sleeping a little late. I strive to get up and be in my home office, dressed and with my coffee, at sometime between 9 - 10 am. I normally work through the day with no lunch, and hang it up at 6. But, I find myself
doing research all through the evening. I don't want to make my whole life
in these four walls. So, I guess what i miss the most about not having a "real" job is getting out and interacting with people, going to lunch, chatting, hanging out, laughing, etc..
I struggle with the feeling of being a "fraud" and "who do I think I am" so
that is another obstable, my self defeating behavior. I hope this site and all the articles will help me to overcome this and find some focus as well.

I am happy to be part of this community and look forward to many hours of
reading, learning, and interacting.

Welcome aboard lindeelou... hope you like it here...

Now about your situation... you have now become self-employed... which means that "you" are now a business... and every business has policies and rules that have to be followed...

So, you must set those rules... and follow them... work starts at this time and ends at this time... you work so many hours and then you quit... doing that will give you the time you need for social life etc...

Next... you say, "I struggle with the feeling of being a "fraud" and "who do I think I am"

You know your business don't you...??? You are the expert... so why the doubts...??? You may not be perfect... but nobody is... so, be a man take your responsibilities... do the very best you can... and don't ever look back...

Best of luck to you...
