Cool Hola!

Hi! I'm Grącia, from Spain.
Right now I'm double majoring in Translation&Interpreting (English, French, Modern Greek, Spanish and Catalan) and Media Studies. I live 50 miles from campus, which means a 1h drive or 2h commute. I usually choose commuting so I can use train time for reading, sleeping, sorting out my notes, etc. It also means a lot of money saved over the month.
I'm also working as a freelance translator (documentaries for TV) and as a volunteer translator/interpreter (which gives me something to write under "Experience" in my CV).
Try to do that being the biggest procrastinator ever, the messiest person ever and having the worse time management skills ever... and you'll know why am I here.

So far, I'm really excited about trying some things suggested here... but quite skeptical, knowing me

Hola Grącia and welcome!

For a self proclaimed procrastinator and messy person, you are very accomplished. To double major in that many languages and media study you must be somewhat organized.

I look forward to reading your views and opinions on the latest discussions and topics.

Thank you so much for your welcome!
Hola is hello in Spanish

ZHereford - Surprisingly I'm not organized at all. This is my 5th year in college and it's not the last yet! (we don't have the same system over here, you don't have the possibility to finish Translation&Int. or Media Studies in less than 5 years each, I'm just trying to finish both+a year abroad in 7)

Good for you Grącia!

Participating in these forums is a good idea for your language study. It will teach you the nuances of the English language beyond the more formal aspects that you take in school.

All the best to you!
