Default Clever Ad Placement

I wasn't sure where else to put this, so I put it in General.

Don't know if anyone else did, but I noticed that in these forums, at times, an almost all-white ad appears to the left, and without realizing it I have probably clicked on it about 6-8 times so far.

I just wanted to say nice job on ad placement, and that I learned from Steve and put a similar ad style on my website.

Hey, James - that *is* clever!

I am new to the whole adsense game, but I'm eager to play.

I checked out your site, too, btw - fun!

Thanks for the tip!

Tui

I found that a bit of a problem myself, and I contacted Adsense to inform them about it several months ago and ask for advice, but they never responded.

Yikes. If you're accidentally clicking on that ad (ie. when you're not activley trying to), I'd definitely be getting a better mouse. It may hurt Steve's ad revenue a bit, but I'm sure he'll live.

As for what mouse, I'd get a Logitech G5 or a Razer Diamondback, Copperhead, or Habu. Why do I make those suggestions? Well, that's a whole other thread, but suffice to say they're good mice that will serve you better then cheaper, lower quality, less efficient alternatives.

The #1 rule when buying a computer mouse is to find one that suits YOUR needs/style/preferences. Even if everyone says "this mouse is the best", if it doesn't suit your particular preferences, it won't help you. If you want more info, read the following comments I made on the Lifehack.org website. I don't exactly like the writing style I used for comments, but there's some good info in there:

When I get the chance, I'll actually make a decent thread about computer mice.

Maybe it wasn't just my mouse, because my computer can get slow and lock up at times when I'm multitasking, then clicking when I am unsure if it is done loading or not, etc.

At those times I was clicking, I wasn't on my normal computer, so I don't think that was my issue, because I use a wireless optical mouse normally.
