Default MESSAGE TO STEVE...and Hi Everyone!

Steve,

My name is Mike. I was born into the types of spirituality that inspired 'The Secret' this has been my life, all of my life. Several generations of family have passed this down to/through me. I am now 37. My biggest rebellion was in finding Zen/Advaita the path(s) of non-duality or non-self...that which I AM is all , or consciousness, or the entire universe in which all of 'This' is happening. But I had a great revelation one day, many years ago...'I still prefer Ben & Jerry's over any other type of ice cream'. Laugh if you like but this was truly an opening. My path was one of equanimity and openness. So basically I have no 'needs or desires' that have to be fulfilled before I am happy. I am always happy...right here...right now. The whole personal revelation is that I have preferences. When I came across the movie 'The Secret' I recognized quickly that if people trying the process found complete happiness and acceptance with the life they have now...whatever it entails, then when they visualized and focused on a 'preference' a great deal of power, previously unavailable to them would show it's face. The reason for this power is that you are coming from a base of peace and serenity...not wanting something.

So Steve when I read your article on the LOA and particular the part on 'Subjective Reality' I recognized that you have a very clear understanding of this universal law or process. This motivated me to signup and post. For the first time in my life I am using this LOA process to focus on what I prefer (or want) instead of the ways I was taught and have taught others to use it in the past. Thank you for your presence, and founding this forum. I'll keep you-all posted on my success(es). And of course a big THANK YOU to Ben & Jerry's.... :-)

Mike

Hi everyone,

call me Val, I'm here basically for the same reason as Mike. I found Steve's article refreshingly straightforward and Just the ballsy, unpolitical, banner I felt that I needed, right now, to be drawn to.
