Default Life Changing Decision - Advice needed.

so, im 18 and currently live in perth, australia. Im half way through my 3 year uni degree, but lately ive been bored with uni and life in general, finding it hard to get motivated. Also, ive lived quite a sheltered life. Like, i dont really know how to open a bank account, or talk to a stranger, or simple things like that, as most of this has been done for me. Oh, also, i derive all of my income from poker (playing mainly online), and currently play for 15-20 hours a week, making around $100/hour (btw, the only reason im including this is to show that i can be financially secure.. i dont want this to get into a discussion about gambling and me losing all my money)

so yeh, im in a rut atm. I was thinking of taking a year or two off uni and going to live in another country. just getting up and moving to sumwhere where i dont know anything about the people, or culture, and just kinda... working it out. I dont have the problem of having to find a job, all i need is a casino and an internet connection. also, by the time i leave im hoping to have 60K stashed away in the bank so ill be in pretty good financial shape. Basically, i just want to throw myself into the deep end and get a ton of life experiences. because id only be 'working' for 15-20 hours a week, id have a lot of time to get out there and live life. I was thinking of some place like monte carlo, but im not sure of a definate location yet.

oh also, i wouldnt be going from a 'sheltered life' to unknown country in a giant leap. In a month im going on a skiing holiday to new zealand with just friends, an this will be the first big holiday ive been on that hasnt been with parents there. Then id be looking to go to melbourne for a month or two, where i know a couple of people, but not a ton. after that, if i felt comfortable id make my big move to a country that id never been to before and didnt know anyone. im basically just trying to get out there and make something of my life, put myself out of my comfort zone and gain a ton of life experiences. im hoping that if i do this, wen i come back in a year or watever, everyone will say 'wow, wat a different person you are' or 'youve changed alot', changed for the better obviously

so basically i was wondering if u guys think this is a good idea? or whether you think i should just stay in uni and slog it out?

Hey spect, we already discussed this over aim but I'll just add my thoughts here as well.

First of I would like to mention that 100$/hour is definitley archievable in the long run playing poker, I'll second this just in case anybody is in doubt about this...

Anyway;
I think its a good idea to take 2 years of and see a bit of the world, uni will still be there when you get back. However I don't think its a great plan to sustain yourself the entire time with poker alone, playing poker+partying might seem like a great life however its going to be VERY hard to get back to college after all this partying. Make these 2 years a mission to improve yourself and maybe start a own business.

Best of luck to you, if you keep working on yourself and take action you'll do great (I'm sure).

well thats the thing. im not taking time off to just party ad have a good time. i see this as more of a "spiritual thing" to find myself, and develop skills, have life experiences, etc. poker will only take up 10-15hours/week, and the only reason for playing poker at all is so i can have more free time. i plan on doing alot of aid working, volunteering, things like that. wen i heard about jigsaw volunteering at a zoo and looking after a puma, i thort that was a really cool life experience. so yeh, im not doing this for fun, and im using poker to allow me to free up more time to do meaningful things.

i hope that gave abit more clarification
