Changing my name on here

I've got a question for anyone who wants to tackle it.

I'm thinking of creating a new account that I'll use from here on in. I'd like to still be able to read Pyrogen's old posts, though. Will Pyrogen be deleted, and if so, will I still be able to read the posts I made under this name?

Why am I wanting to do this? My mom wants to sign on to this board.

If she ever did a search of some of my threads... she's kind of an obsessive web miner... she'd know all about who I've had sex with in the past. Normally I don't have a problem just being open about this stuff, but it's my mom. Just take my word for it.

Ok, I realize that sounded very strange, especially coming out of the mouth (fingers?) of a 36 year old.

Can this be done? Can I create a new me, and still read my old posts as "Pyro"?

Yep, your posts as pyrogen will remain.

Just give one of the moderators a heads-up so we won't think you're trying to post under two accounts... and don't post under the name pyrogen again!

Thanks. I'm not doing it *yet* obviously, but probably will some time in the next few days... I don't know what I want to call myself yet It's a very important decision, and it'll probably tie in with a rename of my blog, for congruence

I'm just curious - does your mom know you're pyrogen? If so, then won't she read your past posts on here and put the pieces together? If not, then why can't you keep posting under that name?

Nope, she doesn't know.

I plan to change a few things (remove my avatar, remove my signature) on this account and use the present avatar and signature with the new account.

That said, the references to my love life are VERY deep in a search, if she did a search by this handle. But still.
