I confess I've been lurking, so I feel like I already know a bit about some of the people here, but now it's time to dive in and say "hi".

In a nutshell, I've always been a bit "off" by most people's standards, but to me this is a truly grand thing. While it can be a little bit lonely or frustrating at times, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I found Steve's blog in a roundabout manner, but a lot of the ideas and approaches really clicked for me. I am in the process of re-inventing my mode of living yet again, and this time around I'd like to invoke some forethought and discipline to see what results I get. I've been coming back here from time to time for ideas and support - it's definitely having a positive effect.

Major goals: I want to move to Berlin. I want to tweak my software career to be more rewarding and satisfying. I want to have more wonderful, positive, supportive, excellent and fallible people in my life. And I want to be good to them.
