Smile How to Build A Stronger Ego made me join as a forum member

Hi all !

I'm Fadli from Malaysia. I have been reading stevepavlina.com for quite sometimes but the latest article made me join this forum.

I don't really intend to join in the first place because being in another forum is a form of commitment.

But right now I'm in the middle of churning Dyer's and Osho's that talk about weakening or sidelining the ego and poofs, Steve Pavlina suddenly talks about HOW TO BUILD A STRONGER EGO.

It is in contradiction to what I am now studying so I want to know what others are saying about it.

So heelo everyone !

Hi Ahmad. Good to see you're willingly trying on multiple perspectives. I'm sure you'll fit in just fine

I think building your ego is a good idea.

In my own practice and understanding so far when I think of the ego I think of that compulsive-thinking part of me that used to generate the endless uninterrupted stream of dumb thoughts. I've learned how to interrupt it and even keep it turned off for periods of time.

I consider both humility and self-esteem an honest assessment of my strengths and areas for growth.

Ego and the sort of problems that come out of it are what cause people to make associations between self-confidence and conceit, wealth and greed.
