Hello Forum Friends, I have joined Steve's site today and am amazed at all it has to offer. I'm a life and career coach and very interested in applying this wonderful information to my work with clients. I am writing a book about people's individual journeys with personal development and would love to hear from you about something really important you've learned about yourself or how you have grown in the last year. Peace, BloomCoach |

Hello, and welcome to the boards Are you sure, you can fit all that into a one book? :P As for me, past year has been the most growth oriented in my short life. Since I suffered from despression at the beginning of 2009 its been about year now since I decided to take responsibility of my own life. It hasn't been all that great, but surely I faced my worst fears, quit bunch of bad habits, started excercising more, I've tried various ways to spend time. I also got a nice temp job which has provided me some new perspective and time to think what to do next. Surely I've changed past this year, now I am more authentic, truthful, secure, energtic, resourceful and grateful. Probably much more, thats how I just feel right now. Most important lesson I learnt: Growth isn't linear process, sometimes life knocks you down in order to give you chance to grow. |

Thank you so much for your reply. I don't know how young you are, but you have learned a lesson that many people never learn. Difficulties in life are going to happen, but it's what you choose to do with them and how you handle them that creates growth. I've found in my practice that the clients who align their life decisions and activities with their values and passions (rather than what they think they should do or feeling like they have no choice), are the people who are the happiest and accomplish the most. Thank you for sharing your story! Keep growing. Last edited by carenkh; 01-17-2010 at 05:09 AM. Reason: deleted link in post |
