I have been reading for years but have never posted until last night. Actually I stopped reading for awhile after one of Steve's essays on the nature of reality. But then I decided to come back. Nice to actually make contact finally. |

Hey slumberland, I too discovered Steve's blog by googling 'Hard Work' and I have become a huge fan of his since then. I agree, his articles on 'subjective reality' are mind bending and although i'm exremely skeptical about it, my mind still wants me to keep the option of it being true. Good luck and take care.

Sushanth, that's so interesting that you also got here by googling 'hard work'. The subjective reality articles bothered me not because they bent my mind too much, but because I thought they were going down an unsavory road. Now I balance Steve's blog out with Erin's - and it works out well... |

Hmm.. well, i found subjective reality idea mind bending. What do you mean by 'they were going down an unsavoury road'? Also, i do read Erin's blog, although not as much as Steve's, could you give me an example of how you balance out the two?

Well, I actually was saying 'unsavory' in a semi-affectionate & good natured way. I am very glad Steve honestly expresses his evolution of thoughts and I don't think I can really explain what I meant other than at the time, I was not at all in the mood to be entertaining ideas about subjective reality. But they were not unfamiliar ideas, I'd played around with some of them before in different ways. Erin's blog took me longer to get into but then I was really awestruck. The article pick a side, any side is a good example of the goodness that shines through. |
