Default Hi from Penang, Malaysia

Hi, I am Vivien from Malaysia. I have learnt a lot from Steve's site. The first blog that I read was "How to become an early riser", since then I have been a regular visitor to this site. I am looking forward for interesting discussions in this forum. Thank you.

Hi and welcome.

So, _are_ you an early riser now?
If so, can you tell me how to sustain that in winter? Because I seem to have a winter depression right now where I have much trouble getting up early..)

Default My Goal - wake up at 5:00am

Hi, I am now waking up at 6:00am-6:30am most days. I won't consider myself early riser yet as sometimes I do have problem getting up early. My goal is to wake up at 5:00am.

Sorry I won't be able to help u with your problem, as we don't have winter in Malaysia. Anyway, waking up early at cold raining day is still a challenge for me.

Oh winter... grey gloomy mornings

How about finding some reasons to wake up early? Find your why and you'll know how. Eg if you are passionate about your job, then you'll be looking forward to all the stuff you enjoy doing and you'll want to jump out of bed!

Of course, a heater in the room will help (at least for me) so that the room is conducive for me wriggle out from under the warmth of the sheets

I'm from Malaysia too but I have lived in countries with cold climate for many years and I know how difficult it is to get up in the morning. Worse part is when you have to get out of bed to turn on the heater!

I wake up before 6am every day because I have to make my merchandise available to my customers shortly after 6 every morning. I still loathe getting up every morning after years of doing it. It doesn't get any easier.

The thought of having more cash in my hands if I wake up early helps though

So yeah, find a reason/purpose to help you get up early...
