Hi all, I have recently decided to make the shift from a darkworker to a lightworker. Previously, when I created my world, I did so from a place of selfishness keeping my own pleasure forefront among priorities. After much reflection it occurred to me that ingrained patterns originally established to enhance pleasure were only keeping me stuck in a rut. Furthermore, it dawned on me that lightworkers also experienced great pleasure in life and personally, my pleasure was greater in the past when selflessness was my creed. I abandoned this lifestyle when conscious introspection led me away from organized religion. Previously, my paradigm incorporated two opposites: Bible-thumper and heathen. With my expanding awareness I feel I can transcend this duality and make a real contribution. Not saying that any of this is going to be particularly easy, but the journey is its own reward. My particular challenge in this life seems to involve transcending addiction; I've been addicted to most everything, including money, drugs, alchohol, popularity, sex, food, depression. Basically any chemical, emotion, or experience that becomes self-repeating and inhibits my ability to consciously create a new reality. I look forward to embarking on this journey and can think of no better place to document my progress than these wonderful forums. That's all folks!

Hello Achilles.

Looks like our paths have been similar. I believe though that we are on earth to experience things and some of us had a long list with us when we came here. Alan Parsons made an album titled ''Try anything once'' and I believe it's a sensible thing to do. Addiction has it's particular grip and is a good element for spiritual growth, when you learn to defy it. I'm looking forward to read from you.

It's a shame, but to be expected. I hope you find your happiness, I do. But I wouldn't count on it.
