Hallo everybody, here is a brand new "forumer". first off, forgive me if I do some mistake with grammar: english is not my mother tongue. Sooo; I have been reading many posts on this forum and I was really impressed by the wisdom of the replies. I arrived here when looking for personal development and relationships, and that's what I found. Pearls of wisdom, that I dutifullu copy and pasted on a special file I want to re-read every now and then. I decided to join today in order to have some support and words of wisdom..but not on relationship. I have been just fired from my job. I mean..today, less than a couple of hours ago. And..yes, maybe this IS aboout personal development. I have been a victim of bullying but, on the other hand as wisdom goes, part (and I mean part) of the complains were probably true. The problem is, now I not only face the prospect of being jobless, but my self-confidence has gone down the drain (all this, after being dumped by my boyfriend and being with my father just operated for a cancer...). Thing is, I don't know anymore what my value as a worker is.. don't know what is false and what is true..don't know anything. I thought that coming to write on the forum would be a better move than jumping out the window - not kidding, I really had this thought for 1 sec. only 1 sec. I am trying to keep a light tone just because I want to shut up the pain I am feeling. I did not write to rant or cry here. I did write in the hope of receiving some of the wisdom (and humanity, that's also important) that I have seen so many times on here.. cheers the NotSoSmart anymore |

I am interested to know what you mean by being a victim of bullying. I might have more advice there. I think you should really look at where you are and what you have accomplished so far. How old are you? Where are you from? I don't believe your forum name is even going to help "Notsosmart." Thats very negative. Be positive. At the moment its all you can be. I realize this post is from 1July. I am just seeing it now though (Im new member too). Either case, If anything BE POSITIVE. Something will happen if you want it. Also try The Secret. I am a big fan. I was in a very low place about a year ago. It helped. I am in need of alot more help but for now this is my getaway. Let me/us (anyone reading) know how you are doing and what you are up to so we can help. Samantha |

Hey, I agree that you need to stay positive. Although you will keep thinking of your current situation and tend to think that the Universe has been unkind to you, and keep asking yourself "why", try to stop that as it will not help at all ... I have just ended my relationship no long ago. Everything I had, I built it around this relationship and when it was gone, I felt super lost !! I was left with a lot of mess to settle, debts and very little friends. New people will come in to your life, so do new opportunity, as long as you are alive and stay positive, you will get over this hurdle soon ... love yourself and don't be sad. For a start, try to put some smiles to your face for even the slightest insignificant thing. |

Hi NNS, if you see these posts please write and let us know how things are going. The more detail you give the eaiser it makes it to respond. I can't imagine how this thread got lost. Hope you're still looking in. I sometimes get to reading posts and forget to look at the writer. I was reading a very good response to this thread and said to myself "Who is writing this?" It was you "HappyLuckyOne!!", No surprise there! Lots of good advice! |

Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll find some comfort here. I have a good article on what to do if you lose your job. I wrote it after 3 of my friends lost their jobs in the same day. Blessings to you kb |
