How is everyone? I just wanted to say hello. I am from Washington. I have been working on Personal Development for a little while now. I stumbled on stevepavlina.com looking for info on Law of Attraction. It's been an interesting couple days learning things. Well, I hope to meet all of you and learn some more. Take care. Roni

Hello, I am new to this forum. Coincidentally, I found this forum and then several days later found a link to Steve's blogs. I guess I am just actively looking for this kind of news for personal development. Maybe it's a sign. Anyway, it is very grey, cold and snowy white where I live and not really very conducive to being in a good mood. Just_Me

Also your username is kind of self-limiting don't you think? Should maybe be more like LOOK EVERYONE IT'S ME! I HAVE TONS OF LOVE TO SPREAD! Sorry I can be quite effusive! |

Well, thanks for the warm welcome. It was sooo appreciated. I don't like driving in the snow. It is not pretty out where I work and spend most of my days. As for my user name, how do you know if it doesn't mean something to me even if it means nothing to you. Are you always so critical of people you don't even know. How the heck do you know what I have been through in my life and why I am here and what I am trying to learn and gain.

Dear Dave, I went back and found one of your original posts. You were 19, the same age as my youngest daughter is now. She is in second year University. My oldest is 25 and has a Masters Degree in Environmental Science. My middle child is 23 and searching. He has OCD and I try to be there for all three of them. I have been the only parent, the only support and it has been just me for the last, almost nine years. Yes, I have a lot to learn because I have been too busy paying bills to remember who I am. Come to think of it, I was married too young to have ever really had a chance to learn who I was. But, I am beginning. Self worth? - I got all four of us out of an unsafe place to be. I have lived in 7 different countries. We were in Turkey during the first Gulf War and I home schooled all three kids because all the English schools had closed down and most of the expats went home. I have started over, started from scratch. I've sat down at the end of a day and cried because I didn't know what to do next. Trivial things? - Sometimes it is a delight to feel trivial things. In the market place in Aswan, Egypt there used to be a man who always sat in the same place. He had no nose- Leprosy. In Nicosia, Cyprus there is a bulding on the border of the Green Line where you can still see the bullet holes and I swear the air there is cold even on a hot summer day. Well, have a nice day.
