| Hi, fellow Canadians! I'm a woman (of a certain age), from the Maritimes. I put a bit of info in my profile, as much as I feel comfortable posting online. You are welcome to send a p.m. if there is a specific question.

| Hello, Bisha and Eli! I'm glad you enjoyed your summer in Canada, Bisha. Someday I'd love to travel to the UK. I have always been fascinated by the standing stones, (and of course there are the Rolling Stones Eli, much of Canada has a climate similar to the northern U.S. states. In the far north in winter, temperatures can drop to -40 degrees or less, at times. Because of global warming, we have had a series of milder winters lately. It has been within a few degrees + or - of the freezing point so far in our area, this season. If you visit in the summer, you'll find it most agreeable.

| It's funny that - people always mention Stone Henge as a big tourist spot here, but it's far from the first thing that pops into my mind (though it is very mysterious). I suppose it's because I'm such a London girl I hear there's been some wicked snowstorms in the Edmonton area (west coastish?) You'll love our weather if you love surprisingly warm summers and lots and lots of rain! |
