WYSIWYG is on a distinguished road
Default Looking forward

From the acronym I chose as my username for this forum, what you see is what you get.

Basically I'm a student of life, always game to improve myself so I can be a better Mother, friend, co-worker etc.

My quest for peace within started about 10 years ago, and was similar to the parable in the bible about David and Goliath. I didn't know how I was going to do this, all I knew it needed to be done. So the journey of a thousand miles started with that one step forward. And the first couple of years, I read various books, such as The Seat Of The Soul, Seven Habits of Successful People, and PNI, and while such books helped tremendously, and a definite step in the right direction, it wasn't until two years ago when I hit rock bottom and to make a long story short, out of a series of events that happened consecutively in that same year, my epiphany came when I realized with everything negative happening around me, the common denominator was myself. And then and only then did some of the previous suggestions and inspirations from the readings of Steven Covey, Gary Zukov and Dr. Elliott Dacher, finally started to sink in.

I've been a fan of Steve's blogs for about two years and in the beginning when I first started to read some of his blogs, the views were completely different from the way I viewed the world so I really had to think about them.

Eventually however, I "got it" and my frame of mind has been transformed (in a good way), and my views on life altered from a negative to a positive state.

My journey to sustain the peace I have found will always be a continuing effort on my part and I thank Steve for helping me get on the right track of thinking.
