Hi! Am new in this neighborhood. Just joined today. I ran across the site when I was tired of job-searching surfing and wrote exactly that in the address line and entered. From time to time I just do that to see what comes up. Often I find interesting sites. Sorry, I cant really say my parents messed me up or maybe I am and don't realize it Laugh

I am new here, and find it really interesting what the age breakdown is. I am going to be 44 in February. I wonder what my life would have been like if I had known about positive thinking back when I was in the 18 - 23 age range. I wonder how things would have turned out for me if there was so much information available back then. I know that ulitmately it doesn't matter when I recognize how to think feel and believe positively, only that I am now doing so.

Hi, I'm 54. The past year or so spent in independent (or not) study of Tao, as it relates with psychology, synchronicity, brain evolution, Krishnamurti, conclusions of modern arithmetic and physics, the I Ching and Tao Te Ching. Then I found Jed McKenna's books (read his 2nd first, Spiritually Incorrect Enlightenment) and wondered what others thought of them. A google led me to this site where it was discussed some time ago - any new insights I wonder? Taj |

After all, age is only a number, right? Chronologically we could be 100+, yet live as say 23

On the other hand some people who come to the forum want to know whether their are other people in their age group. For me it's also interesting to see whether the average age of the forum members increases over time or decreases. But maybe you are right and there is a problem when people don't put in their real age I added an extra option for those people.

"I prefer to not think in terms of age / Don't want to tell me age" - isn't what I meant. Sure, there's "chronol." age (& currently some external skin-difference, over time). Say someone is 30 but acts like they're 70 or aged/old. Say someone is 70, yet subconscious BELIEFS guide Such a person living youthful... can (making good sense) enjoy exemplary health

I also don't think that there is shame in being old and that people should have to hide their real age from themselves by adopting a "subjective age".

| Agreed. Shaming anybody is often useless, & can be really harmful. And people being 'old' is obviously the norm. But 'normal' ain't for everybody. Some people, in fact more kinda discuss & encourage such in this Forum, right? |

46~~ I also feel that I would have loved a place like this when I was in my early 20s, however the interweb thingy did not exist and I'm not so sure my stubborn younger self would have appreciated this the way I do now anyway... |
