Philip Bourdon is on a distinguished road
Default Hello - I'm a New Member From Pittsburgh

Hi folks. Almost two years ago I became aware of the Law of Attraction when I found Charles Haanel's classic The Master Key System. It's made a profound impact on my life.

I was a minister for almost 20 years when I left that in 1999 because of the divorce I was going through. I made a number of bad decisions during the next few years because I had such a poor view of myself. Those decisions resulted in debt, bankruptcy and foreclosure from real estate investing.

The Law of Attraction helped me realize that the (mis) direction of my thinking brought about those results as a matter of universal principles at work; "like attracts like" being the chief one.

I have been attracted to Steve's writings because of the emphasis on clear thinking and responsibility. His material influenced my decision to start a website that is: Practical Law Of Attraction Principles

I'm finding how I can generate happiness every day and throughout the day by clear and direct intentions. Of course, it's taken time to reach that level.

Steve's writings are certainly "outside the box." Even if I don't agree with some of his conclusions, I have to admit I appreciate the logic and sytematic thinking he uses to reach those conclusions.

I don't intend to be negative by what I'm about to say, but I believe that this and any forum shouldn't be a fan club and rah-rah group. I prefer to be graciously honest as I try to live out my desire to be what I call "ruthlessly positive."

I haven't read much of what Erin has to say, but from what Steve wrote about her once, I assume she is a medium (pardon me if I'm being inaccurate with this description...it's not an area I'm all that familiar with).

Because of my conservative christian (not fundamentalist) background, I still have a tendency to "reel" when I read about people who say they have those powers. That's why I have not read much of Abraham-Hicks material (why can't it just be Esther...who needs some mysterious spirit to validate what's being said?).

However, my best friend Mark, who is much more familiar and comfortable with that sort of "direction," has influenced me over the years and I try to remain open to having my paradigms shifted if not expanded.

Anyway, I've never been able to express this last part before and I appreciate being able to do so in a positive and life-affirming venue.

If anyone cares to email me direct, feel free to do so:

Welcome to the forums, Philip!
Ruthless positivity seems very sound to me, and I do believe that most members share that belief.

A trackback is a legacy technique used for automated notification to sites that you've linked to in a blog post for example.
Checkout: Trackback - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
