Default Long time reader, New to the Forum

Hello All!

I've been reading Steve's blog for the past few years but have never taken the opportunity to participate in the forums. Well, since one of the things that I've been wanting to manifest into my life was more like-minded individuals, this seems like a perfect opportunity to participate and open myself to receiving what I desire.

A bit about me, I'm a 31 y.o. woman living in the Seattle area, focusing on my purpose in life: "I am a vessel of compassion, love and artistry to the world at large" (did the exercise from the how to discover your purpose in 20 minutes post and this is the one that got a strong emotional reaction for me, heard my higher self say "That's it!" and then the tears fell).

For many years I lived a very unconscious life, identifying with a victim mentality. It wasn't until exploring professional development through my work that I became fascinated with the concept of personal development. My boss suggested "assertiveness training" to help me in working with strong personalities and it ended up being life changing.

The woman I worked with, Donna, introduced me to concepts I had never thought about before... belief structures, manifesting my reality, looking at how to communicate assertively. After working with her for a year, my self confidence grew and I started delving deeper. After we had finished our working relationship, one day after coffee with her, I decided to google Personal Development and you-know-who's website was at the top of the list.

I've found the blog to be an incredible resource for information and inspiration and I'd love to expand my "circle of friends" through these forums.

Excited to get to know people here!

Default Hello and welcome

Hey hello...

It's great you took the assertiveness training course which was suggested to you. Sometimes this is all it takes to shift our life towards the direction we need to go.

I hope you take the opportunity to build on what you are learning about yourself... try different things... ask questions of others and of yourself.

You are on a very exciting and remarkable journey of self-discovery -- enjoy the process!

Warmly
Jeanne
