Default Hello from a blue dragon

Hi. My name is Dan, I'm 21 and I must admit I have found Steve's blog by looking for a recipe for brown rice Feel free to laugh but his entry on this topic apeared as the first result on Google so I just went for it. It goes without saying that I was delighted to see that I had found much more than the perfect way to cook brown rice, but also a great source of articles about the very topics I was generally interested in, written in a style that is very close to my own way of thinking.
I'm from Bucharest, Romania, and I am currently somewhere near Cleveland, Ohio, participating in a 3 months "Work and Travel" exchange program through which I was able to come work for an american company offering restaurant jobs in a service plaza, get to know many other students from various parts of the world and visit the US which at the present time would have been too expensive for me if I were not to work at the same time.
This has been the perfect oportunity for me to understand for good that I do not wish to ever do a dull job again, and that I can and I will find more intelligent ways of making a living while doing what I like.
And some of the things I like, and practice, are chineese internal arts Tai Chi and Qigong, which I began studying a few months ago, and I intend to keep studying them and become a teacher myself.
Another thing I want to do is write about everything I have learned and discovered about health and personal development from the perspective of a person who is still searching, and is by no means an expert on any topic, but who knows to ask the right questions, grasp the essential and put together the wide and sometimes discouraging amount of information available, thus offering others an easy way to get started when trying to understand a complex issue.
I am glad to have found this wonderful site and this forum and looking forward to sharing ideas. Now I'm gonna go ahead and post one of the questions that's been bugging me
I wish you all all you wish yourself and better!

Hi Dan, thanks for joining!

I'll be doing Thanksgiving in Geneva, Ohio, near Cleveland. I'm from Columbus originally. How is life treating you there?

I've done pretty well so far, and I intend to do even better. I like this area, but because of the lack of time, I haven't met many american people, except those I work with and 2 very special ones here at my hotel. I'm planning to visit the US again another time, only for travelling purposes, no work, unless that work will be teaching Tai Chi, but I will see when that will happen.

Sounds like a really cool exchange program! I think everyone meets the most people through their work, I know I have.

Well, I think that's true, cause I have met most of my best friends through school and work. I also tend to meet wonderful people whenever I move on with something or undertake a bigger project, like when I got my first job, when I came here in US, etc.
