Starman is on a distinguished road
Default Hello, my name is Starman.

I chose the name Starman because at the time I created my profile, I thought of Carl Seagan, the astronomer, and how he used to say that we are all made from material that once burned within the stars.

If that's true, and it probably is because he was a pretty smart guy - ahead of his time maybe, then we all come from the same place. I like this idea because it makes us all equal, because we wern't responsible for getting ourselves here or for whatever we are born with.

I took me a long time understand the idea that I might be as good, or as important as everyone else, though sometimes I still don' believe it.

And now you know the problems I struggle with: self-acceptance, self-confidence, always assuming I'm somehow inferior to everyone else, that everyone must think I'm making a fool of myself and I should know better than to think I could relate at their level, and should just go away. Maybe I read too much into how others react to me. I'm getting better, but not yet cured.

Maybe there is one positive thing about this: I try very hard to never make someone feel the way I do most of the time.

* Starman *

Default Greetings Starman

We come in peace

Your areas of struggle are shared by many and this is a great resource here.

Many of the great teachers have spoke the truth of being one. We are all part of everything and everything is part of us. In fact we are one with everything and everything is us.

I am a firm believer in treating others as you wish to be treated.

Remember you are. There is no good, bad, greater or lesser. Your are a necessary component to everything as you contain everything.

Very glad to have you here.
