Exclamation Excited Newbie!!

Hi everyone!!!!

I am so glad to be on this site! First let me introduce myself: I'm 26, mother of a 6mo. old, current college student and slowly converting health nut. It had to be by luck I stumbled upon these forums. I was going through a engine search for "raw food diet" and was clicked on Steve Pavlina's blog and it was great!. I have joined and now I am looking forward to the discusses, meeting people and most important improving my overall self!!

No one can stop you, but YOU.

Unhappy Need Help!!

I am researching but still am concerned that eating an all raw diet will be limiting for myself. I have asked others that had success or in the process on these forums, but so far no feedback. I start my detox in 6 days and all I really have is lots of fruits and some veggies. I know there has to be more to eat and ways to prepare than that. Any suggestions or advice?

Help...

Might want to ask around in the health / fitness forum what staples they eat. I am vegan now, but not raw. I do know a couple good green smoothie recipes though, if you are interested!

I'm super lazy when it comes to preparation and cleanup, so eating raw vegan is super easy for me.

Hungry? Eat some fruits & vegetables & nuts, raw. Not hungry? Don't eat.

Honestly, that's how I eat now :P

Try this one:

Use watermelon as a base, blend it first. The blender should be about half filled.

Add about 8-12oz of strawberries, four Tbsp raw agave, 1-2 bananas, and a tray of ice. (hopefully that all fits

Blend and you have a delicious strawberry / watermelon smoothie -- very healthy. This will make enough for two, cut these numbers in half if it's just for you.
