Default Haven't Posted in a while...

Because I just had major intestinal surgery. I probably would have died if the procedure were put off another week or two.

I don't want to go into too graphic of details as I received incisions and such, but if you feel you can handle the goriness, I updated my latest blog post.

I'm just glad I'm able to be back here and participate some more , it's heaven compared to what I went through.

Hey Rose,

Thanks for the healing wishes. My recovery is actually going by pretty well. Hopefully I'll only be like this for another 2-3 weeks.

Hey James!

Missed you man. I checked out your blog, nice pics. Reminds me of when a buddy of mine got in a bad car wreck. He has to get a slit in his side to inflate his lungs. His little brother was trying to cheer him up and kept telling him how sexy his slit was -- and if he could hump it - just once...

Glad to hear you're healing up well. I'm really glad you got things treated as quickly as you did, and that you're sharing your story. Most people don't know much about Crohn's disease. I had never heard of it until I became good friends with someone who had it at my last job.

Thanks Dan

Good to hear your buddy's made it alright. One of the reasons too that I wrote the post was to tell them a little more about Crohn's Disease. When I was first diagnosed with it I had NO CLUE what it was all about.

Hopefully it'll help inspire others too to make sure they get it checked out every so often, so what happened to me doesn't have to happen to them (or at least as bad as it was for me, because that abscess was pretty big).

Thanks Aspiring,

I'm actually off the wound vac now (Thank God) and have just regular bandages over the incision, as I've healed pretty fast with that machine on. The wound is much smaller now.

Progress has been great .
