| Hey, I'm new here... I guess as lame as it may sound I was directed to this site from another site about how to make friends. I just finished my first year of college, so I should be at my prime with making and having friends. I just feel kinda lonely, because I'm an introverted artist and would like to learn how I can be more responsive and open to others. |

| Hi ScreamingDaisy! It seems to me that a lot of atheists tend to be late bloomers. No pun intended. The smarter you are, the more you'll need to learn to feel truly confident about knowing enough. It's only natural that it will take you more time to map reality when you are looking for more intricacy within it, as opposed to relegating natural law and causes and effects to a mystical 3rd person invisible entity who controls destiny. If you want more friends, my advice would be to be more social on your own terms. Meaning, get better at art than anyone else, and then socialize specifically within that context. Also, remember, it's supposed to be fun! Who do you like hanging out with? Doing what? Enjoy the forums, and it's very nice meeting you!
