| What does everyone here think of Soap Opera's? I know many people have different views on Soaps. Some people find them completely ridiculous, whilst others find them addicting. (I'm one of the addicts, lol). I just wanted to get some honest views of what people think of Soaps and Dramatic television shows? Why is there such a demand for them if i'm always hearing people say how horrible they are, etc. Just wondering here.

| I once had a roomte who wrote for General Hospital. He was very passionate about it. After knowing him, I have to admit, I think they are somewhat interesting. Some are better than others, and it's kind of amazing how much the quality relies on the writers. He did a Halloween arc for GH and the actors and actresses were going crazy for it! They want to be in a quality production as much as the viewers want to watch a good show..

I think another thing that is amazing is they come up with five episodes a week, 52 weeks a year. (Besides big holidays). I think it's so cool that they can write, produce, etc. that quickly. At one point during high school I was watching General Hospital, One Life To Live, All My Children, Days of our Lives AND Port Charles. Whew. Those were the days.... *coughaddictcough*

| I think Danger Man should be on a soap, don't you? I think he has "chief hospital administrator" written all over him. Know any daytime tv casting directors? |

| Hi Danny, I think the whole point of soap operas is to hook you emotionally with stories of conflict that never gets resolved. This way, you keep coming back to watch more. The more you watch, the more you train your brain to expect that life is full of conflict that never gets resolved. Also, you get more educated about different types of soap. |
