 Hi! Fan of Steve from Asia Hi everyone! I'm Marie, 23, from the Philippines. I've long been a fan of Steve's blog. I first heard about Steve from my boyfriend JP just when we started dating in February 2006. I'd go over some of his articles especially 10 reasons why you shouldn't get a job. Reading and reflecting on that and other entrepreneurship articles both by Steve and other writers gave me the strength to give it a go. I worked for about 10 months as an employee, saved up, and started Pigmata Media. We take on client work for web development and SEO to sustain also our proprietary web app projects. I handle the business and marketing, so it's not so far off from my business degree and CPA license. I listen to Steve's podcasts before bedtime -- when I'm not learning Mandarin with my Chinesepod lessons. I share learnings on money management and personal finance and tech-preneurship in the Philippines.

| Hi Dan! Hi all! Yes, thanks. I have 2 web designer/developer partners who take on the actual dev work. I do the admin/hr/finance/marketing/sem... I can't help but feel, um, "in over my head" (?) sometimes. Like I'm in IT/new media marketing but my background is finance. I'm used to being the leader too, having been president of a national student organization, so now sharing decision-making really takes some getting-used to.
