Default Yes, the dashing fellow over here

Hello there, folks. I do a search for inspirational songs and what do I find? A forum built, seemingly, for me!

I can say that it's great to see so many like-minded people. I think I'll be a very active member of this community and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

So in the words of so many great minds- wuddup?

Hey there, welcome. Have a cookie and start writing more about yourself.
I'm just an ordinary boring game programmer without a job. But I also play Go, in case you're into that game...

Have you started reading the Pavlina blogs yet? They're pretty awesome you know.

I worked at a Borders, but onthe Fourth of July I figured it was time to stand up to their BS and I quit. I've been taking the past couple days as a mini-vacation before I find a new job. In a few months I'm leaving to join the Air Force as a SERE instructor, which is someone who teaches high-risk air crew survival and evasion techniques from hostile territory. That should imply that I love being outdoors

I like a few video games too, like Bioshock and Ninja Gaiden, and I just beat Grand Theft Auto 4. I never really appreciated the style of play before, or how huge the game really is, but at the end of it with the crazy ending walking around the city just looks right. Great game.

I love to do a lot of things and it'd just be a list if I wrote about it all so I won't! I've never played Go but I'll have to check it out, I think.

Go is an ancient board game, very good learning materials for a beginner can be found here Sensei's Library: Front Page.
Don't be afraid, the rules are extremely simple.

However, the depth of he game is incredible. While chess AI can compete against the sharpest minds and have already mapped out the whole game. Go AI can't even beat amateurs yet.
