 Hello From Thailand I'm Axel! I've been at Steve's forum for about a month now and that's exactly how long it took me to find this introduction board... I like Steve's approach to the internet: he shares what he knows, he's honest about his flaws, he's fun and knowledgeable. These forums are great! I work full-time in personal development, reiki healing and as a psychic. Have lived in Thailand for the past 2,5 years. It was meditation that drew me here and it's my girlfriend - who's got a very good understanding of buddhist dhamma - that keeps me here. I really love her  In the past year, I've ordained twice as a junior-buddhist monk - which was an eye-opener. Buddhism in Asia is not what most Westerners expect it to be.  Welcome, Alexg  I'm sorry I didn't say that before we jumped into the fire! Danger Man and I just watched a movie about Muay Thai -- what fun! I forget the name, something about a young hero who goes to retrieve the village idol's stolen head, and he gets into and out of all kinds of tight spots with his faith and his skill. Loved it. Now we want to visit! (and Danger Man wants to be that guy.) |
