Hi folks, Just making a quick intro to this fine forum. I admit I haven't read many threads yet, but the few I did browse leaves me with a good impression of some honest, open minded and kind hearted people here. I will be honored to listen and occasionally contribute. I basically found Steve's blog and this forum while googling 'the power of now', which, btw, is my favorite book in the world. :-)) Been a seeker of spiritual truth for a long long time. Eggy's books ( Eggy is the affectionate name that a co-worker and I use when referring to Eckart Tolle ) resonate so well with me that I can't get enough. I do try to practice the power of presence. On a philisophical side, I love the fact that he is so non-dogmatic, as I am FINALLY at the point in my life where I leave dogma and anything that smells of dogma or religion, in the dust. If I have one peeve ( I've probably got more than one :-))) ) , it is with dogmatic and fundy type religious beliefs like the christianity that I finally escaped from. Anyway, that was a bit more than I intended for a short intro, I guess I can be a little long winded. Thanks for the forum. See ya around the funny papers. |

I like the name Eggy! Seems to fit. I like what you said about Dogma. People get so caught up in the trivialities sometimes they they forget about the important stuff: Living with love. Quote:
Sums it up right there. Anyway, thanks for joining fwellers, and enjoy the site! Lots of good info here, or if you ever need advice its a great place to come. Talk to you more soon! | |

Thanks for the welcome Dan. I appreciate it. Yup, there's lots I can learn hanging around here. I like Ghandi's quote. Here's one for ya. Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction. Pascal |
