Thumbs up Greeting from China

I have read the Blog for 4 months. I first found in del.icio.us, and it has been my daily happiness now.

I have learned a lot from it, and I have choosed my career to be PHD and then a professor and to try my best to develop myself and do some contribution to the world.

Thanks steven, I hope the world will be a conscious world as you have said~

^^
When I hear a foreigner says "ni hao", it always makes me smiling. It is a friendly smiling.

My city is Beijing, it will hold the Olymipic Game in 2008. And welcome everyone, we will also feel the friendship of Chinese.

I think one of the most important greatness this forum can give us is we can find so many awareness people around us, and form a group to improve together~

Yes, "a group to improve together" is a good way to describe this forum.

I'm impressed that you've joined this English forum. Not many English people would join a Chinese forum. You're courageous!

Maybe it is because English is the most populate language in the world.
And Chinese is harder to learn.

And I think there is no boundary between contries when we are pursuing personal development.

yup.. there's cultural difference too.. especially in forum, the chinese one tend to have more "copy and paste" without giving credits to the original authors.. no offense..

Yes, you are right. Intellectual property rights should be treated more seriously in my Country. And I think in each culture, there is always some good behaviors and bad behaviors. So these behaviors should not be treated a signiture of the culture^^ For example, if there is a thief in a city, we can't say this city is a city of thieves

In China, there are also many forums whose content are mostly from original ideas. In fact, I think the forum which is constructed by "CTRL+C and CTRL+V" will not have a long lifetime.

Oh, I know that. I was just highlighting how cool it is when people like you, who English is their second language, join an English forum. I have a lot of respect for those people.

Indeed, there are no boundaries between countries concerning personal development! The internet makes communities like this possible. What an exciting time we're in.

And don't worry, if a moderator sees copyright infringement I'm sure he'll just hunt you down and steal your non-vegan foods. It's a punishment around here.

Yeah. It is the forum's fascination that brings us here, and it also has another benifit for me: improving my English. I have just realized my poor English writing when I'm writing my paper.

Look at it as an opportunity!

This forum is not just a website, it is a place. This place is a blessing and an opportunity for us all. Always remember this.

Yes, I will recommend my friends to join this too. But I find myself a little addictive. Steven have talked about the forum addiction, and it is still a hard thing to find a balance

That's right I read about you, Jake. You and Fennec probably have a lot more in common than you first realize.

See? Exciting times.
