PieceOfMind is on a distinguished road
Default Dear Forum

My name is Will but I go by PieceOfMind here. I've lived in Kentucky and Ohio and just got my own place after college. I used to think self help was stupid and pathetic. I have changed...

I first got to Steve's site via his article on procrastination which has been a personal demon of mine and his article was the first thing that I can remember actually helping me with it. From there I read his polyphasic sleep articles which, in my eyes took him from a smart guy who knows how to organize his time to a total hardass. I've been subscribing to his blog for some time now and decided I'd go the entire distance and sign up for the forum as well.

I've never really been able to make the whole forum community thing work for me. I've signed up for about 2 or 3 others and never got past more than 15 posts at any of them. Having said that, I'll try to do better. Any thoughts on how to become a solid forum contributer?

Thanks,
Will or PieceOfMind

Hi PieceOfMind, great screen name!

In my experience procrastination means you're trying to force yourself to do something that you don't really want to do. If you're passionate about what you're involved in its not nearly as much of an issue.

Re: Thoughts on being a good contributer - just say whatever is on your mind. This forum is a great place to vent, express frustration, or ask for some perspective about something in life that is bothering you.

Enjoy the site!

Hi,

I am also new to the forum, am finding it interesting, although I feel a bit like a fish out of water at this point. I am also great at procrastinating, and looking for ways to improve things. There certainly is a vast amount of info out there. Any other info on how to get around in these forums I could get would be helpful, thanks
Annalees
