Hey guys, I'm Dave Kaminski

I was also selected to be a moderator for these forums, and I'll be moderating the General forum!

I, like Adam and Steve, have an affinity for the computer. I am a voracious reader, mostly nonfiction. I'm a college student, but not so worried about getting my diploma as I am furthering my education. I plan on being self employed forever, and even if I do have a job, I'll still see myself as such. I mentor an autistic child who was adopted from Romania, which helped me with my perspective on life at the age of sixteen or so.

I'm relatively young (19), but I try not to let it hold me back from doing what I wish. I wasn't always so nice as I am, which helps to motivate me to help more people more often. I like to have a positive impact on peoples' lives, but have also learned not to make shoot-the-moon promises, because situations change quickly and they're extremely hard to keep.

I currently live in South Coast Massachusetts, but plan to move to Canada some time in the future if the government isn't a bit less twisted in coming years. I've got no dependents, and my marketable skills are global, so I don't mind relocating if it means more peace of mind for me and whatever family I decide to start.

Feel free to ask me for help, but please keep in mind that reciprocity is a powerful tool. I don't care if you give back to me, or to someone else. Just keep the giving spirit in mind!

Kudos to Steve for helping as many as he has. Let's help him help others and help others help themselves!

Thanks for your time!

Welcome, Dave.

It is always great to see people who are technically minded. I'm certain that you'll fit right in and do a great job. I love your attitude towards helping people, and I can't wait to get to know you as a fellow mod.

Moving to Canada? Reminds of a book I recently saw on the shelves -> Wait Dont Move Canada! I can't recommend it, but I'm curious to read it (anyone else read it yet?)

Although I'm from the West Coast of Canada, absolutely love it here, and encourage everyone to visit, I think we need open-minded people spread out throughout the world (and not just conglomerating in certain regions). So, if you plan on moving because of political reasons, I would encourage you to be/make the changes you'd like to see there (or attempt to do so) before you escape to the great white north.
