| Western New York that is. The name is Zack. Currently, I am attending college and hope to gain much information about self-development (obviously) through this forum. Thanks for having me! *P.S. Check out my site at Simple Zack if you'd like. |

| Hey Jonathan, Thanks for the greetings. I look forward to good messaging and conversations. Hey Dan, Thanks for the greetings as well. I am majoring in Business Information Systems and possibly Psychology too. |

| That is something I haven't decided yet. Currently, I'm taking Computer Science and I do enjoy programming. However, managing may be good as well. Actually, I'm really glad you did ask that question, because I never really gave it much thought, so I'll have to think about that more. Thanks

| I can tell you this: The managers who can program (and who therefore end up being the managers who know which members of their teams are the most talented) almost always fit in much better than the ones who can't program well, even when the ones who don't know programming have lots of education. One of my managers had three masters. Three!! But he got fired within 60 days or so, before the benefits kicked in, because he couldn't manage to program a web form.

| Wow. That is some key information right there. In fact, I am going to start thinking seriously about whether I want to be a manager who can program or be a programmer. If you don't mind me asking, Dan, what do you do for a living? Thanks for the tip! Zack

| I work for a dot-org, social services, non-profit company that aggregates information about mental health services across the country and provides it in a fancy online format. Mental health related information and referral basically. For example, our company would take a typical phone-book style listing for an agency like... lets say the Salvation Army, and categorize all the services and programs they provide, where they provide them, who they provide them to, fees, etc, and pop all that data into a giant, search-able database on our site. That, and we are moving into e-learning now as well. We figure that online classrooms are the thing of the future and we have a few lobbyists working for us who are good at convincing politicians of that as well. Cue Jetsons music. We'll probably get bought by Google at some point and then I'll work for them.

| Sounds fairly interesting, especially the online classrooms. And the part about getting bought out by Google and working for them. You sound very optimistic. Good stuff. Zack
