Hello! And before you ask, "yo" is actually a sort of slang greeting which I am very fond of. Sounds friendly to me, what can I say? Anyway, I am very glad to have joined this forum. I have surfed some of the threads and I have found some very bright people. I can't help but feel exited! I suppose, though, that I should say something about me? Well, I am an eighteen year-old girl who comes from Mexico, and is studying International Relations (I want to be an ambassador). I can't say where exactly--house rules--but, let's just say that I'm to the north. I have short, chestnut hair (so short that I sometimes look like a boy, which also makes it seem black), and deep-brown eyes. For my country-folk, I am tall, 5'6 feet (1.73 cm); otherwise, I am average. I am of athletic build, as I practice Karate-Do, Shito-Ryu, but to tell the truth I can't do all the amazing stuff that is shown on the movies, such as back-flipping. Oh well, I can live without them anyway. As for my interests. I like a lot of things, but within the list of things that I do is read a lot (which is also needed a lot for my career), write, practice Karate, play video-games, sometimes listen to music, and try to decipher how my violin works... Anyway, I rambled quite a bit I suppose. I did say I liked writing, no? Well, it was nice meeting you! I look forward to participate as frequently as I can! (Which is not exactly a lot, but oh, well...) |

Hi Greki! We saw a Toyota truck last night at the grocery store that had all the lettering peeled off so it just said YO. I dug it. How is life in Mexico? I've always been curious to find out, but I don't speak any Spanish.. Welcome to the forums! |

Heya! Awesome! Not a lot of people know what it means, the few that do is because they know something of the Japanese culture. xD Well, it depends on where you live. I live on the northrn part of Mexico, and I can say that it is very different here from the center, or the south. Where I live it is a very indrustialized city, well, the capital at least, because on nearby towns it is very different. Anyway, it is nice where I live, but I've been here my whole life, so I think a little change is in order. I'd like to visit other countries and live some time there. I would never leave Mexico permanently, though, I love my country just too much. x3 Well, you don't have to know a language to know about new cultures. I don't speak Japanese, but I know my bit about that country. It is nice, yes, to learn new languages, but thankfully almost everyone share the same body language. Thanks! |
