Any Americans going to watch the Superbowl this coming Sunday? I'm pondering whether to do it and I need to decide today

I don't watch football at all, except for Superbowl each year.

I usually only keep up with the Cowboys and they are out. But some friends are having a party so I might go. I like the commercials

Even if you aren't big on football, it might be a fun get together if you watch it with friends.

That's true. The commercials will be even more fun for me to watch this year since I've taken a Marketing class

Superbowl parties are always fun - even if you do don't football or your team isn't in.

I'll be on the road Sunday so will miss the football and the parties.

ps - Just because I'm nosy - why do you have to decide today?

Because I don't have cable at home, and I've been invited to my workplace's superbowl "party" and I have to give my answer today so they know how much food to buy.

In that case, I'll say, workplace superbowl parties are always fun if you work with fun people!

And the commercials are always entertaining.

I've decided to go with the Giants, as they are the lesser of two evils. Considering I'm a huge Cowboys fan, I decided I'd rather root for them than the Patriots, who I've disliked for quite some time.

I cannot believe my beloved Patriots lost. Why would I create such a thing? Then I remember one unbreakable law of nature: impermanance. Good for the Giants. They won. And their day in the sun is limited as well. Have a happy day.

I was rooting for the Giants as well. Being from the South, we all were pulling for Eli, that "other" Manning boy!
