Hello! I found my way here via Lifehacker, tips and downloads for getting things done several months ago, with interest in Polyphasic sleep. Anyhow, I'm off to the Health and Fitness section to start learning, and perhaps asking whatever the standard set of newbie questions is around here. (After lots of searching, of course) Last edited by TCRIMSONK : 01-20-2008 at 09:28 AM.

Welcome to the forums TCRIMSONK! What are some of your goals that you are working towards? Or are you just aiming for more efficiency in your daily life in general?

Dan, Thanks. I'm between jobs right now, and have been offered one that I'll likely start Feb 1. So for the next ten days, I'll be trying to get into a Dymaxion sleep schedule. (similar to the polyphasic schedule Steve had been on) I don't suspect I'll have another block of time sufficient to adapt to such a schedule, and put myself through the required days of sleep deprivation to make it happen. So I'm trying to get switched over while I'm unemployed. It also gives me time to work on my other projects. I'm implementing a GTD system, studying for my CISSP Info Security certification, running an events site for my town, and renovating a townhouse that I bought in foreclosure. So I've got plenty of things to do with the time I'll be getting from Dymaxion sleep. I haven't followed Steve's blog much otherwise, but I suspect I've got a lot to gain by doing so. I've already delved into the world of personal development and "self help" on a limited basis, and whether the effect from what little progress I've made is direct or placebo, it feels good to be improving myself and my life.

Good luck on the cert! CISSP is a biggie. And networking security is a great field to be in. I'm slowly building up towards a serious attempt at polyphasic. But I work full-time so I haven't had a break of time off to give it a real shot yet. I think it would be really interesting to live that way. And what the hell is that in that video?
