| Howdie :-) I'm happy to have found this group .... looks like there's a TON of activity here! You know, I've come across some wacky creatures who, at first glance, seem to offer nothing of real value, but at second glance, actually have amazing things happening in the universe inside their heads. I think of Dr. Fits'n'Stiches, a once homeless heroin addict who asked me for a quarter one day. I don't know why, but instead of giving him my money, I found myself inviting him over for a meal and some talk. Little did I know that I had come face to face with a guy who possessed a comedic wit unparalleled by anyone I had ever met and who was to become a good friend and one of my favorite coaching clients. Given the encouragement, he eventually found a job at a supermarket, an apartment right around the corner, and the passion to pursue his comedic talent at improv clubs. Within every single person, I believe, there's a seed of huge potential, that if given the chance, will blossom and come out in unimaginable ways. That's not just a cute thought .... it is my firm conviction. 'If given a chance' is the key phrase though. How often is someone recognized, acknowledged, and supported in finding their 'genius' and fully developing it? Not a common thing. I know. I've been one of those people with huge dreams, passion, and ambition who never really was encouraged to 'do my thing.' What I wanted and needed was a 'complete support system' to not only help me tap my potential but to DO something with it. But I certainly couldn't find it in my friends and family - they seemed more interested in keeping me as the same guy they've known instead of lifting me up toward my dreams. So if the support wasn't out there, I decided that I'd create it for others (and myself). I am currently working on my soon-to-be membership site called Untapped Genius. It is to be the ultimate playground for the mavericks, creatives, visionaries, and others who crave the thrill of bringing their passion, ideas, and other creations to the world. I'm also working on my first book called Life as a Wave, which is a method of tapping our potential using 'principles of rhythm' (click on the link in my sig file below to check it out). Soooooo ..... I'm curious. What talents, gifts, natural abilities do you have that you'd like to share with the world?

| Men, there are genius everywhere that we just don't know... I've even been learning to recognize these people with just one look (that may be part of my own genius...). Like... "I know he/she is hiding something good he/she does". My "supposed" genius is music related. Composing, playing, singing... I don't like much to call myself a "genius" because is a very arrogant word, but people tell it to me sometimes. They may be wrong or right, what does it matter anyway? |

| This is so very true! I always wonder if it weren't for the Internet if my "genius" would have ever come out. It's apparently SEO as I live and breathe it and just seem to have a knack for it, and for teaching it to others. But what might it have been if there were no search engines? Or no Internet, or no computers? I was definitely a late bloomer and had no "genius" tendencies as a child. (At least not to those who knew me, although I always felt like I was pretty smart...grades be damned!) |
