| I posted several times in the Ruin a Wish (in the fun forum) and had a lot of fun reading it for a while. Then a few days ago, I was at the company's health benefit meeting and looking at the life insurance. I saw that if someone in my family died, I'd get $100K, and then I started getting concerned if that would be how I'd fullfill my intention to make $100K. Then I realized the sillyness of thinking like that - and decided to stop my participation in Ruin a Wish thread because I could feel it was getting me into the habit of seeing the worst possible way something could come true and thus ruin its manifestation. If I start fearing the manifestation of what I want, then that can make everything much harder to accomplish. So, is it a harmful habit to read and post regularly in the "Ruin a Habit" thread or am I too concerned about it? |

| I, too, was wondering about the Ruin a Wish thread. Is it invoking the LoA? On the other hand, I listened to an audiobook by Deepak Chopra (The Book of Secrets) and I remember Chopra mentioning that all decisions have positive and negative consequences. For example, you might get your dream job, but you and your family might be required to relocate. This also reminds us that when we don't get what we want, we might be getting a blessing in disguise. Personally, I will continue to participate in the thread occasionally for entertainment purposes.

| When I created the thread, I really didn't intend it to be harmful. Just as a fun game to be creative, nothing harmful intended I think that as long as you don't intend to really cause harm to others, and things aren't taken too seriously, it should be alright. (Which is why I posted it in F'n'R and not I-M.)
