Hi, I only found this forum today whilst browsing on the net and cannot believe that I missed this for so long. First of all, hi to everyone here and let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm here because I'm looking for spiritual answers. This might sound vague and in some regards it actually is. I have always considered myself to be a very spiritual person. My connection with the land and animals in particular has always been very strong. In fact, this is the reason why I moved from cold Europe to Australia some years ago. The moment I heard about this mystical country many moons ago I fell in love with it and visiting only strengthened my resolve to being near to the magic that is here. I'm not a church person, in fact I hate the church and the name god. I don't mean to offend anybody here and I accept the fact that we are all entiteld to our own beliefs anyway. I'm simply stating it to give you a better picture of myself and who I am. I have always been a moon child, affected by the various cycles of the moon and especially on full moon I'm restless. Either totally depressed or totally happy and childish like (mind you, I'm 40). I suppose the fact that I'm also born under the sign of cancer contributes to this. I'm a happy person but feel that I'm stuck somewhere within. I'm draw to Buddhism and Pagan beliefs but really not sure what I am to be honest. Respect is a commodity which unfortunately is lost these days in many places and yet it is essential for each of us. I love yoga but fail to indulge myself into following a regular schedule. I seem to consistently sabotage myself to the order of putting on a lot of weight and working to the point of total exhaustion. Yet, I feel that this isn't the real me. So why do I keep doing this? Recently I bought the Goddess cards by Doreen Virtue and I keep getting the "high priestess" message. When I researched the Pagan (Wicca) believes on the net I felt like this might be what I should concentrate on and in some ways I crave to connect with my higher self to find inner peace. But how does one know, which way to go? I'm kind of lost and I really hope that I will find some answers here. When I read about Erin, I felt like I had to do a reading with her, but unfortunately it isn't in my budget right now. I'm not even sure whether I do make sense to you, and I apologize if my intro post seems like rambling. I'm looking for answers and hope to find a direction in terms of working and connecting with my core being. Thanks to those who listen Monika Last edited by Pagan Goddess : 11-11-2007 at 01:47 PM.

Hi there, Welcome to the forum. I am sure you will find your answers one day. Sometimes you have to look for them and sometimes all you have to do is stay still. Isnt that weird? You said that you like Yoga. I highly recommend Kundalini yoga. I am sure it will help you both physically and spiritually. Other than that go with what you feel you want to do - Paganism. Good luck on everything.

Absvan, Thank you for your insightful answer. I guess you are right to go with Paganism as I do feel a very strong connection toward this. I have done so for many years but never really followed up on it partly also due to the fear of not being understood by others. I have been doing Hatha Yoga but will investigate Kundalini. Not sure whether I will find local Pagans as I do live remote. Any suggestions on where to find an appropriate place on the net instead? Or is this not such a good idea? You know, I am confident that I will find my answers some day, even though I ask questions all the time. Probably because my patience isn't that great. I'm sure many of you will be able to help me see the right way and very much look forward to the journey. Thank you Monika
