Default Hi!I am a newcomer.

Hello! I am very glad to find you, guys. I've been getting so much useful information at this blog and reallly impressed by Steve. I've just started wondering what happens if people start really applying all this advice to their life? And are there people purpose-oriented enough not only to read, but actually DO it. I'd like to ineract with them.
That's why I am here.

Hello Vasilisa,

Thank you for posting the attached; I was struggling to draft an introductory message and yours gave me something to respond to.

Yes, I have put 2 initial things into action since discovering Steve's site a week ago. 1 - I am now getting up consistently earlier in the morning which, so far, appears to be sorting out my non-sleeping problems and giving me more time 2 - I am making determined attempts to tackle my concerns about my IT skills as I feel that I am being left behind - Responding to your post is the first time I have contributed to a forum so this was a helpful and timely opportunity (hope I push the right buttons and you get this!).

As you say, there is a lot of useful advice on here and it would be difficult to follow it all straight away so I suggest trying one or two specific things that work for you to see what grows and I wish you every success with your efforts.

I have applied many of the principles of self actualization consciously for several years and doing so has changed my life for the better. Steve has a great site and articulates the message well.

Welcome to the group and keep coming back!

Thank you, I will definetely be coming back. The Steve's article about being a self-help junky made me look at the problem of reading a lot of self-help stuff and doing very little. It's the first time somebody made me look at myself from that point of view.

But I have to say, that although reading of all that self-help didn't make me particularly successful, but it made me more understanding, definitely happier and slowly but surely changing my life (and I don't do much for that except just reading and thinking).

Welcome to the group. I recognize your part about reading a lot of self-help articles and doing very little. Steve's site and this community will certainly help you to apply many of the things you often already knew. It most certainly works for me.
