Chill of Eons is on a distinguished road
Talking Greetings. I am from Portland, Oregon. It is good to be here. In this forum, that is.

Hello, community. I mean to improve my existence, and in no small way, yet in many small ways also.

If you want, just call me cheons for short. This is only the second "introductory post" I've produced in my life thus far.

Why the name, Chill of Eons? Because I rather enjoy basic awareness of our lifeform-ness. It makes me want to tilt my head back and quiver my cheeks with awe of the unfathomable. Yes, existence is pretty epic. Or neerg, as I like to call it. I seem to have many names for different things.

I mean to read every single one of Steve's articles/blogs. They're just that worthwhile. Ever since I read Ten Reasons Why You Should Never Get a Job, I've decided to establish multiple streams of income. Unfortunately, I have not actually done so yet, due mostly to having hardly any time away from my smeared waste treat of an occupation (a call center entitled Vesta). Once I do have time, and that will be soon, or be damned, I will immediately begin exploring such good options.

So I'm 26 (in 2 days at least) and don't know what I want to do for sure for a living. Well, I do know that I'd love to blog for a living, which of course I have no experience in, but I'm confident I can learn all that stuff (I did read How to Make Money From Your Blog). I want to write about the exact same topic as Steve, but that seems rather unlikely given that it would have me in competition with his practical (unless I'm mistaken) monopoly on it. Maybe it's worth trying anyway, but I don't know.

Pretty much all of my inaction in life so far, and I'm not saying it's been nothing but inaction, has been because of my extreme oversensitivity to what others say. I'll be posting a thread about it in the Emotional Mastery forum very soon.

As for what my interests have been in life so far, basically just console videogames (bleah) and a few animes (of the super-serious, artistic, higher-purpose variety, among them the dreaded Evangelion, which I have very recently grown out of). I've become less interested in games in the last several years, and now rarely play them. Still, there are some (few, but some) games with extremely stirring, imaginative and powerful storylines, Xenogears and Planescape: Torment in particular, and I've wasted tons of hours digesting them o'er and o'er. Then there are actual books, which I haven't developed the ability to really appreciate until like the past year. But this interest has been as much an addiction/escape as games, especially given my extreme devotion to detail and wanting to understand absolutely everything and reading the same things many times and never getting bored, and I'm trying hard to replace their regular consumption with things that are more conducive to real growth.

That was kind of long, wasn't it? Oh well. I love to write, and as you can see, I'm not a terrible writer either. However, my perfectionist attitude has totally inhibited my spontaneity in the past and kept me from writing much of anything intended for public consumption. Thank God I'm over that, at least.

Well, I guess I have to end this somewhere. Good day to you.
