The future, destruction or paradise?

Lately I've been thinking about the bigger picture, right now I feel we are in a critical time. In the near future (30-50 years) I personally think that the fate of the human race will be decided. Let me try to explain why I believe this.

To me the world and its inhabitants is a intricate network of different 'energy flows', now I don't mean this in any esoteric way (only partily). For instance on one side you have;
- Medical and engineering revolutions that rapidly change our lives positively (longer, healthier and more options).
And the other;
- Weaponry and dangerous situations evolving, think atomic weapons and other such things (planes/bombs/weapons and in the future these will only evolve).

The way I see it is that this isn't two energy forces pushing against eachother but rather two circles connecting at one point. To show this visually imagine two of these wheels;

With the water flowing in between them powering them both. Science is in this case the flow that turns both wheels both the positive side and the negative side. You can't really stop the flow or slow it down, in the past this has been try'd but eventually science breaks through in a flood (dam's will hold the water for a while but eventually they overflow and break). Personally I think its the ultimate blessing with a nasty edge that you can really cut yourself on.


I 'see' these energy flows in almost every area, take for instance conscious development. You have on one side;
- Conscious individuals and community's, think this forum and other similar material (Eckhart Tolle etc.).
and the other side;
- Resistance to conscious evolvement, in a way theres almost a gap between the conscious people and the unconcscious ones where both respectively rise higher or dig themselves deeper.

My knowledge in this area isn't that advanced so I'm not sure if this is correct. However I did notice that Eckhart Tolle is talking about a similar occurence in his book A new earth. From what I remember he mentions that we are in a age of awakening, a very crucial age that if the conscious evolvement is successfull would hail in a glorious and joyfull time or when we are not in time total destruction. Now this is paraphrasing and my own interpretation of his words. This energy is more like two sides one deeply unconscious and the other highly conscious. Its more of a spectrum than two circles where the universal conscious is slowly moving towards the 'conscious' side. To try and show this once again visually;

This is the best picture (a prize for the person who can tell me what this picture illustrates ) I found to illustrate it so bear with me. Imagine the different colours to be personality's and each dot is a human. In the bottom picture on the right side is consciousness right now, there aren't to many people compared to the whole human kind and as such the area they 'occupy' is small. Right now I believe that we are slowly moving to the upper picture where consciousness is slowly gaining more ground and 'converting' more people (just imagine the arrow is pointing the other way ). The more people get to the conscious side the more ground we get and the higher the odds are that the unconscious people also wake up (more people will be close to the deviding line making transition easier). In this picture the line is the state universal consciousness is in. At every moment there are people moving to either side however I believe that for every 10 people moving towards the unconscious side there are atleast 20 becoming conscious and the movement towards the conscious side is only speeding up. (I see the conscious movement as a spider web across the planet where every intersection is a person with a influence circle slowly converting unconcscious people but this is besides the point right now so ignore it )



So how did I arrive at the conclusion that we are in the deciding time of the human kind?
Right now everything seems to speed up, technologie advancements are speeding up incredibly and the population at large seems to be more conscious at a whole than ever before (my impression is that the speed of 'conversion' if you like is also increasing).
What this means for the human race is that our individual descisions NOW can impact the entire human race to a unprecedented degree, the influence we have on eachother and our environment is quickly increasing. We will come to a point where we'll either completely and utterly destroy the world and all its inhabitants (bad ) or feel extreme joy and happiness (good ).

The two forces I outlined above are especially important in this process, you see what I think personally is that;

Scenario 1 (Total destruction )
Technologie advances so quickly that consciousness can't keep up, the ego and all its problems eventually destroy the world and everybody in it.

Scenario 2 (Paradise )
Consciousness evolves as fast or faster than technologie and together they transform the world into a better place for all of us.


Personally I think the human race will make the final descision between one of these scenario's very soon.

My question to you is;
Are you here to help consciousness evolve and create a paradise on earth?
Or are you so trapped in fear/insecurity/ego defenses that you help destroy the earth?

Only you can honestly answer these questions and your answer can mean the difference between destruction or paradise...

I don't really think it is the case that you have clear lines by which you can devide the world. We don't live in that modern world anymore.

Techonolgy isn't opposed to consciousness.Someone like Steve Jobs is by my standarts a concious individual.

Its indeed not a clear line and your right consciousness isn't opposed to technology at all. As I said I couldn't find a better picture to illustrate what I meant exactly. Perhaps think of it as a balance scale and the balance is slowly shifting towards consciousness.

About technology and consciousness;
Technology+consciousness= good times and fun
Technology without consciousness= rough times and destruction

Basically technology is a 2 sided coin (and there's a blur in between but lets forget about that for a second) on one side you've got consciously used technology for 'good' (depends on your definition obv.) such as medical care or this website. On the other side you've got abuse of technology, think weaponry/nuclear weapons/etc.. The more advanced you become the stronger each 'side' gets and the greater the danger. This process of advancing is speeding up right now (for instance computer speed is doubling every 18 months) and so are the dangers. If you have conscious use of technology then the end result is most of the time positive for the general population. If you have unconscious use of technology than the end result is most of the time negative for the general population.
