| Hello Everybody My name is Ali and I live in Auckland New Zealand. I study spirituality, ethics, morals, philosophy and recently developed a great interest in personal development. Yeh it might sound too much but am not really doing any degree in all this it is just my personal interest and I even conduct seminars in my community relating to the above fields of interest. Originally I started with spirituality and ethics then got into philosophy but then I discovered personal development and LOVED it, I guess because it all those topics relate to building a good character and a better society, well at least that’s what I think. I am even going as far as trying to start my own business in personal development. Any ways hopefully I will chat to you all and learn a lot from here Regards Ali |

| I feel the same way as you: philosophy is intellectually fun but personal development is real! Much more applicable and versitile in our modern world. Here's to conscious learning and continuous progress!

| Thank you king well I beleive philosophy targets the minds and make people think about how to handle things in the best way however personal development is the 'practical' side of it. I beleive we need something for the mind as it is the core and the decision making point of all actions so if we do not have a beautiful mind .. action won't be so good cheerz Ali |

| Have to disagree your premiss that Philosophy is armchair dramatics. Just look at the work of Reagan and Singer in how they have engaged the earth in thinking about our moral barbarism of our fellow creatures. I've always looke at Philosophy in this light...... Sociologists, Psycholigists and Mathematicians will tel you that 'x'' is 'r' and so and so forth, quoting all manner of shite over all manner of years of empirical evidence, whilst Philosophers will clear the whole matter up in 1 minute using nothing more than analytical logic and a-priori fact without the tomato sauce!
