All right, enough lurking, enough clicking on other people's posts - the polite thing is to introduce one's self, and so I am. Hello. I stumbled across Steve's site in February of 2006 and was immediately taken in by the cleared-eyed, well-considered writing. I find his focus on reasoning through a topic very refreshing. At 46, I'm older than most of the people in this forum, although defining 'older' becomes more slippery as you actually do grow older. My dad, who passed away a couple of years ago at 78, used to say that, in his mind, he was still somewhere in the 18 to 23-year range. I think that's probably the norm. Anyway, I hope to both contribute to and learn from the various forums. There, no more lurking for me! |
