Moon landing 1969 - Fake or Real?

One of my friend's aunt who's a big financial adviser was talking about US economy last week, the topic slid off to moon landing and how it was faked to lift the mood of the nation so I thought I'd get your opinions on it. Was it fake or real?

There are a lot of conspiracy theorists who will tell you it was fake. There are websites showing in detail how the photos were faked and what not. I remember someone sending me links a while ago and I checked them out. Although their evidence seemed compelling when you read it, other sides debunked the debunkers, and they seemed legit too. I think you can spin evidence all kinds of ways to make it look like what you want it to look like.

On July 20 ( July 21 GMT ) 1969 the first man stepped on the moon. During the next 3 years 6 missions to the moon was made and a total of 12 astronauts walked on the moon... it would be very hard to think that after all that activity a major deception could have been kept secret...

I know people who've worked on the rockets that sent the men to the moon, and I've met astronauts who've walked on the moon. I believe them when they explained to me how they designed the rockets and walked on the moon 30 some years ago.

Which one you're saying is ridiculous? Because for me both are very like each other

Not believing that men landed on the moon is as absurd as believing aliens have been kept hidden by the US government. If the landing on the moon was fake, it would have been the biggest scam of history, its highly highly highly improbable, as highly improbable as aliens being hidden by the US government.

I think it's more probable that the U.S. government is hiding aliens than that the moon landing is fake.

wow... everyone here seems to have no real argument for this subject on either side. Does it really matter anyway? What good has come from the moon stories of expedition? As for aliens in the backyard, so what! it doesn't take much to spot the occassional object flying overhead yourself. The fact that seeing one or two up close causes grief and anxiety is enough on its own. It makes me wonder why some of us gain the facts from seeing, and yet others among us have no real case for comment on the conspiracies of such a powerful subject ... but they do.

I think the moon landing was real and I don't think that any aliens have landed on Earth, simply because I doubt that our government is capable of actually pulling either of those off. Let's start with something small, like say, balancing the budget.
