| So I was looking for ideas for new types of art or some project that would be unique, so I had an idea for photo stories. I am not sure if these have already been invented (I haven't seen any) but I made one to see what it would be like. Basically you take a photo that somehow relates to your story, then write a few sentences for it. It would be a scene in a unwritten story, so you don't need a complete plot; nor is it a poem... just a scene. What do you think? And about the concept? If you have ideas for one of these, please post it! I'd like to see some from other people. ![]() Last edited by JimC : 08-10-2007 at 09:57 PM. |

| I think that it is a fantastic idea... it combines photographic art with prose... I have never really seen anything like it... but I believe that it has enormous potential... A whole book could be devoted to that... and the way that I see it... would be the joint efforts of a great photographer... and an original and talented author... Great project... you should go ahead with it... . |

| Thanks for the response. I would really like to continue with this- and I plan to, but I don't have a good camera, nor much photography skill. The picture posted above was taken with a 6mp digital camera and it still doesn't look too clear- but maybe it's just the room lighting. If anyone is interested in creating a compilation of these things, let me know and we can work something out. |

| Jim, that's a very interesting concept! I like the idea. Even though I haven't heard of it as you are proposing it, I've actually encountered something similar in a leadership course I took. They would show us photos of people engaged in something or other and we would have to describe what's going on in the scene. They would then determine our personality type or mindset by the way we described the scene i.e. positive/negative, passive/active etc. It was a very fun and revealing exercise. Very creative of you!
